The Tea Stick Bamboo, grown in China for cane production, split canes and fly fishing rods. larger canes are used for furniture or sports equipment. Very vertical and vigorously clumping . Will grow to 5.5 m but usually a lot more when mature!!!!! Best results are obtained warmer parts of the country, it may stay juvenile in colder parts. Produces tall, thick culms for the species with branches forming on the top half only. Leaves are large, giving it a very ' Typical Bamboo' look.
