'Black Lace Elderberry'. Finely cut purple - black foliage, tough and easy so a better option than a 'Japanese Maple'. Creamy - pink flowers from May - June followed by blackish - red berries in autumn, ideal for jam and winemaking or for wildlife to feast on. Will grow to 2 - 3m approx when mature. Ideal for hedging. Prune early spring when required.
Best in full sun, or part shade. Best in moist, well - drained soils, in most soil types.
