Evergreen, low arching perennial with small cream coloured bullrush - like flowers. Happy in moist or wet soil. Will grow in water if aquatic compost is used. These are winter divisions.£3.75

'Cobnut'. Good fruiting shrub with pale brown nuts in autumn. Good pollinator but it is best to plant two for maximum success. Long yellow male catkins in spring followed by red ear -  shaped female flowers 3 weeks later. 

Best in sun or semi - shade, in acid to neutral well - drained soils.

The humungous form of 'Horse Tail' with thick, pale green stems surrounded by black and white rings. Rampant but ideal for containers, boggy conditions or shallow water ( aquatic compost must be used if planted in water ).
