A beautiful medium sized 'Birch' from western China, with matt - green leaves. Very attractive coppery -red peeling bark revels creamy - pink layers underneath. Excellent form.

'Silver Birch' with beautiful clean white bark. Deciduous tree with upright branches forming an oval to conical crown of glossy green leaves. One of the best forms, sturdy and graceful.  Bark peels to reveal orange tints on the underside. Yellow flowers and conspicuous catkins in spring. Brown fruits in summer. Golden autumn tints. Large plant for collection from the nursery
'Purple Beech'. Will grow into a stunning large pyramidal tree 25 - 35m high with deep purple leaves, also makes a stunning hedge with the russet old leaves staying on right through the winter. Red and purple autumn colours. Seed grown versions have a variable leaf colour and these are actually the 'Copper Beech'. Both are shallow rooted so underplanting is not advisable.

Best in sun or light shade, in most, moist well - drained soils. Avoid heavy clay or light sands.

'Scots Pine'. European and Asian Native 'Pine'. Grows to 35m high approx, the oldest known plant being 700 years old in Sweden. Glaucous blue - green, needle - like leaves. 'Aspen'. The round, toothed leaves tremble in a breeze, giving it its English name the 'Quaking Aspen'. Quercus x turneri 'Pseudoturneri'
Large plant for collection from the nursery
'Turners Oak'. Elegant tree. Evergreen, long, narrow leaves which may defoliate in a harsh winter. The old leaves usually fall when the new appear in spring. Very ornamental bark. Best in full sun. This is a hybrid of the 'Pedunculate Oak' ( Q. robur ) and the evergreen 'Holm Oak' ( Q. ilex ) making it hardier than Q. x turneri and smaller leaved. Will grow to 15m when mature.
