All About Us!!

The best way to find out more about us is to come and visit our nursery, but if you want to know more, read on ...

"Our Little House on the Prairie"
This is as it was when we moved here in 1986!! - Not much work needing doing here then ... but we thought, ah well, we just don't have enough to do and in a "Changing Rooms" sort of frenzy set about an image change.

"A small retail nursery" we cried, that's what we'll do with our 1.75 acres - now an intensive site, bulging at the seams! We're also 99% chemical free (1% retained for those blasted greenfly!!)

Before ...
So we went from "Bleak House" where Siberia could just be seen over the horizon to a lush tropical haven and it didn't take very long at all - a mere eighteen years. In those years we've expanded so much that you will be lucky to see the horizon through the jungle now! But don't worry if you visit us, we've introduced a free jungle rescue service for all our customers!

If asked very nicely we can help with planting, planning and garden advice, you can visit and relax over a nice cuppa leaving your mind free to drink in the tranquil atmosphere and wander over the endless possibilities for your own garden. A warm welcome is absolutely guaranteed.

... and after

The maestro!
Introducing Paul Whittaker ...

Paul is a member of the RHS Floral 'B' committee for Woody Plants and is also an RHS judge (but unfortunately isn't able to judge his own exhibits!)

You can also find out about his new book from our News section!
